You may be asked by your instructor to use APA style when writing a paper or a class assignment.  APA style is a writing style that creates a framework for formatting papers and citing reference sources.  The "APA" in APA style stands for American Psychological Association. This association created one of the many different writing styles available to writers to cite their work.  Although this style is one of many, at Harrison College you are asked to use APA style.

Check out the library's APA Style site to find all sorts of information about using APA, including helpful handouts and examples.   There are also some great tutorials you can watch about APA.

And as always you can find the copy of the official APA Manual on the shelf of your library.  Check the library catalog to see where your campus's copy is located!

If you need more help, always feel free to email or chat to your librarians.  Their contact information can be found here.
