To find articles discussing the benefits of massage or stetch therapy click on the following link to access a list of Harrison College databases: http://harrison.libguides.com/all_databases_list. Look for, and click on, the database entitled "EBSCO databases." Then click on EBSCOhost Research Databases. The next screen will give you an option to select all databases or certain ones. I suggest selecting the medical and health realted databases (like CINAHL and MEDLINE, etc.) as well as Academic Search Premier and MasterFile.
Try searching using the terms "physical stimulation" and coma. You may also want to repeat the search using "tactile stimulation," "motion therapy," "touch," or "physical therapy" AND coma.
Additionally, you may need or want to expand your topic and search from coma to include "persistent vegetative state" or "permanent vegetative state" to give yourself a wider topic with which to work.
Once you have entered and searched for your terms you may want to narrow the search by refining the date on the left hand side. For a topic as in-depth as this I suggest not limiting to full text only. If the item is immediately available you will see a pdf icon. If not, click on the link that says "Find It," sometimes this will lead you into another database that has this article available. Other times, you will be prompted to request the item through interlibrary loan - which may be necessary.
